Poetry Writing Contest

Maryland Public Television invited writers to submit an original poem for our Big Read Poetry Writing Contest. The theme of the project was "gratitude" and all submitted pieces touched on the ideas found in this year's book Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude. Suggested topics include:  life and death, growth, the wonders of nature, gratitude, etc.  Find out more details about the contest HERE.

The submission deadline was May 12, 2023. The top three submissions will receive prizes totaling $1,000.
